By default the PriceWinder shopping search attempts to match your query term exactly. That is, if you search for 'car game' then the PriceWinder shopping search returns only results containing that exact phrase 'car game' in the title or description.

Should you wish to broaden your search then we have included a number of operators outlined below.

A leading plus sign indicates that this word must be present in your search results.

Usage : '+car +game'

Will return all results with both the term 'car' and 'game' in either the title or description.

A leading minus sign indicates that this word must not be present in your search results.

Usage : 'car -game'

Will return all results with the term 'car' in either the title or description, but will exclude results containing the word 'game'.

A leading tilde acts as a negation operator. A search result containing such a word is rated lower than others, but is not excluded altogether, as it would be with the - operator. This is useful for marking 'noise' words.

Usage : 'car ~game'

Will return all results with the term 'car' and 'game' in either the title or description, but will rank results lower containing the word 'game'.

The asterisk serves as a wildcard operator. Matches results if they begin with the word preceding the * operator.

Usage : 'game*'

Will return all results containing the terms 'game', 'games', 'gamer', etc.
